Why are my parents so mean?

They are always carrying on about how my sister is better than me and how I never do anything right and my mom goes around calling me a "****" and yells at me over the smallest infraction over the things I do, my sister can screw something of mine up beyond belief but it's ok with them, how do I stop this or as least curcumvent my stress of this, it's gone on for years
