Any legal action available should my work place fail to correct the problem?
It is my job to report infractions of company policy as well as laws in place for the establishment I work in. To my knowledge, when reported these infractions are supposed to be confidential. However, I reported an infraction of company policy to an immediate superior. The person committing the infraction was apparently told who reported it.This person has now been making rude remarks to me. Creating a hostile work environment. I have filed a report with my employer about the incident. I am just wondering if there are any legal ways to handle this IF my employer fails to correct the problem. I don't see how, that by doing my job, it is all right to be verbally harassed like this.
