Are slippery slope arguments always invalid?

Sometimes the slippery slope comparision is right on. Other times it is not. It depends entirely on what it is. Generally, any weakening of a structure, or lessening of a standard, something that will produce an outcome that is easier or less demanding on people is a slippery slope.
